We arrived in St. Louis yesterday afternoon just ahead of the storms. As I have done in the past, we had the radar active on weather.com and watched where the rain and storms were. Our goal was to stay ahead of the storms. All breaks were quick. Fortunately for us, the heavy thunderstorms were to the north and south of us; our path along I-70 was just between each storm.
That night around 6:00 pm the storms did hit us. We had heavy rain, lightening and hail. But we were safe and sound parked at the campground.
This will be our home for the next month. We will be visiting Barb's mom as well as seeing friends we have not seen for a year or more. Barb's mom is doing well and seems to be improving daily. That is very good news.
I will keep you updated as to her progress and our activities here.
