Another Rainy Day

We have been here in St. Louis for 3 weeks now.  We have seen the sun on 3 of those days.  We have had a tornado, thunderstorms, heavy rain, hail, light rain and for the last two days continuous showers with possible thundershowers.   The temperature has dropped from 82 degrees to 52 degrees.  We are now wearing turtlenecks, sweatshirts and jeans.  The forecast is 4 more days of rain.

No outings, no siteseeing, no walks, no pretty drives, and nothing new to write about.

This is just an update to let you know where we are and what we are doing.

Photo of Rv park where we are staying in St. Louis.  As you can see we are right on the Missouri River which fortunately is not flooding.  We are on the back row that looks out on the trees.  The straight long white line between the rv park and the trees is the walking path that we take when the weather is nice.  We usually walk about 1 1/2 miles.
Love, hugs and safe travels whereever you go,

Good grief, sounds like the pacific northwest. The weather here has been great. We just had our first 100 degree day the other day but it has cooled down. We can still open up the windows at bedtime and keep the house open until almost 10 am. Did you hear about the forest fire near the arboretum? They were able to stop it right at the edge of the park.
Send the rain here so you can get out for a walk. Or do what WA natives do, walk anyway.
All is well with your places here.

We would love to send you some rain. Since your comment, we have had thunderstorms, hail, lightening storms, and tornados all around us. Fortunately, the tornados have skipped right over us and we are just getting the tail. Glad the fires did not affect the Arboretum. Stay well, be safe. Love and hugs.

Sunday 6/19
Hope that the rest of your trip is somewhat dryer than it has been. Unfortunately it is nothing but dry here. Judy's son Eric flew in from Omaha yesterday morning. He said that there was huge amounts of snow that fell in the mountains of Montana this winter and that the melt has released so much water into the Missouri river causing flooding in the mid-west and the rivers in the Omaha area. The 6 dams have been unable to contain it. You probably know that the Missouri R will meet up with the Miss R in St. Louis. Lets hope that the waters dispers/evaporate sufficiently not to cause problems there. Oh, if only that water could be diverted to the fires of AZ.
Judy will have a (hopefully) short outpatient surgical procedure Tuesday morning to open one of the narrowed veis within the fistula in her right arm. Possibly a stent will be inserted to keep that vein open. She will then see the surgeon a week later and will be free after that for us to go up to our place in Lakeside.
It's been hot here but bearable.
Enjoy OR. Wish we were able to get up there; the coast of OR is so beautiful.
Travel safe.
Roz
