August 5 & 11: More Depot Bay and Cape Foulweather

Depot Bay Harbor

The boats that enter Depot Bay Harbor from the ocean have to maneuver through a narrow inlet on a curve between high rocks.  It is quite a challenge with the ocean waves slamming into the rocks while the boats have to make this sharp turn into what Depoe Bay claims is the "world's smallest navigable harbor."

Our friends Lynn and Karen surprised us with a phone call to say they were a day away from us and wanted to come visit.  We had a great two days with them touring the area.
