Seaside-Day 2
Our second day in the Seaside area we drove to Ecola State Park. Another rainy day and much fog, but the views were great. The Oregon Coast has so much to see. We are amazed. We drove about 20 miles but with all of the stops, it took us 5 hours.
This lighthouse is called "Terrible Tilly", the nickname for the Tillamook Lighthouse. It was built in 1881 and located in the stormy area of the Pacific Ocean on a rock. The lighthouse keepers were hoisted onto the rock with derrick.
Continuing north on the coastal highway we came to Haystack Rock just outside of Cannon Beach.
