Vancouver Island, BC

Victoria Island is truely the most beautiful place we have been. From the magnificient seashores to the culture of the First Nation Peoples, we have been totally immersed and in awe.

We spent 5 days in Victoria, BC, and have hiked along the beaches. We also visited friends who live in the Victoria area. We then moved to Chemainus, BC where we saw murals painted on the walls of buildings in Chemainus, BC detailing the history of the area, and totems on every block in the town of Duncan.

Today we move on to Campbell River, BC. We have many ideas as to what to do: from a drive to a provincal park to going on a ferry to a small island to visiting the museum.

I am just taking a few minutes to let you all know where we are and give a quick but not at all worthy summary of our activities. All I can say is that Canada to a beautiful place and the people here are simply wonderful.
