Duncan is known for its totems of the First Nation Peoples. The totems are on every corner and every street throughout the town. Each totem was designed by First Nation persons to tell a story or recognize the tribe. There was no way to take photos of most of them since they were so tall that they would not easily fit in the camera frame. Most of these photos are therefore of segments of different totems.
